Radcliffe’s Regional Classics - Soave Colli Scaligeri (2006)

January 23rd, 2008

I enjoyed this wine with Linguine Puttanesca this evening.

Araldica Albera Barbera (2005)

January 21st, 2008

I had a good day at work so a bottle of wine with my wife was the order of the day. This wine was fine for a Monday night but nothing special. My wife thinks that it is highly drinkable which is always a good thing.

Random Fact:

  • Albera is the ancient name for Barbera grapes (it says so on the bottle)
  • 40% is matured for 12 months in oak barrels

Quinta de Azevedo (2006)

January 19th, 2008

A good white wine from Portugal that went down well after a hard week at work.

I would drink again.

Random Facts:

  • Fermented in stainless steel vats at controlled temperatures
  • Part of the lot is fermented using a skin maceration technique
